Early Registration for Summer/Fall Begins for Current MSCC Students

Early registration for Mid-South Community College’s summer and fall 2012 terms has begun and will continue through Friday, April 20, for current MSCC students.

Summer classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, June 4, and fall classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 20.

“Early registration is always the best time to sign up for classes,” said Jeremy Reece, MSCC Director of Enrollment Services. “Our course and time selections are at their best right now, so we encourage students to enroll as soon as possible.”

“Those who wait until our regular registration sessions often have a more difficult time getting the schedule they want because so many classes reach maximum enrollment during early registration.”
Reece said the upcoming enrollment period provides additional benefits as well.

“The early registration process allows our advisors to spend more time with students so they can understand what their goals and needs are,” he said. “Advisors can provide more focused, one-on-one attention that helps create the best possible learning plan for our students. Anyone planning to take classes at MSCC this summer or this fall should take advantage of early registration.”

Currently-enrolled students should meet with their assigned advisor to decide which classes to take. After the meeting, MSCC students have the option of registering through their advisor or online through Campus Cruiser on the college’s website.

Early registration for new students will be held April 23-27.

Regular registration for the summer term will be Monday and Tuesday, May 21 and 22, in the Donald W. Reynolds Center. Regular registration for the fall semester will be Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 6-7.
