Early advising and registration for Mid-South Community College’s summer and fall 2013 terms will begin Monday, April 15, and continue through Thursday, April 25, for current MSCC students.
Summer classes, which will meet Monday-Thursday, are scheduled to begin on Monday, June 3, and conclude on Wednesday, July 17. The campus will be closed on Fridays in June and July. Fall classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 19.
“Early registration is always the best time to sign up for classes,” said Jeremy Reece, MSCC Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services. “Our course and time selections are at their best at the beginning of the process, so we encourage currently-enrolled students to register as soon as possible.”
“Those who wait until our one-day summer registration in May or regular registration in August often have a more difficult time getting the schedule they want because so many classes reach maximum enrollment during early registration.”
Reece said the upcoming enrollment period provides numerous benefits.
“The early registration process allows our advisors to spend more time with students so they can understand what their goals and needs are,” he said. “Advisors can provide more focused, one-on-one attention that helps create the best possible learning plan for our students. Anyone planning to take classes at MSCC this spring should take advantage of early registration.”
Currently-enrolled students should meet with their assigned advisor to decide which classes to take. After the meeting, MSCC students have the option of registering through their advisor or online through Campus Cruiser on the college’s website.
Regular registration for Mid-South’s summer term has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
